Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and committed senior undergraduate student who is interested in gaining research experience by joining the Brain, Development, and Education lab as a Research Assistant for the Fall 2024 and the Spring 2025. Responsibilities: • Participant recruitment: Outreach, recruitment, and communication with participants. This includes designing and implementing outreach/recruitment materials, scheduling lab visits, and maintaining contact with participating families. • Compliance: Develop and monitor IRB protocols for approval, modification, or renewal. • Behavioral data collection: administration of tests, questionnaires, etc. • Receive Level 1 training to operate the MRI scanner. • fMRI data collection in adherence with study protocols. • Data Management: transferring research data files to the lab server for analysis and overall data cleaning and organization. • Conduct basic analysis of collected data and document procedures. • Assist with other lab needs, as required. • Opportunity to contribute to conference presentations and/or manuscript writing, if desired and based on student’s performance. Requirements: • More senior undergraduate students will be preferred. • Ability to commit approximately 20 hours per week for two semesters. • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. • Ability to work independently, learn new skills, and meet deadlines as required. • Flexibility in schedule to accommodate lab needs. • Previous lab experience will be a plus. • Previous neuroimaging experience will be a plus. • Previous experience with Matlab will be a plus.
