Research assistant position will involve data collection in The Exercise Physiology Laboratory located in Wade Hall. Study measures will include heart rate, blood pressure, baroreflex sensitivity, vascular imaging (ultrasound), blood lipids, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and circadian rhythm monitoring. Research assistant will also be responsible for helping with the preparation and cleaning protocols before, during, and after each study visit. Research assistants in any major will be considered, however those interested in pursuing a career or post-graduate studies in a health-related field will likely get the most out of this experience. Prior laboratory experience is desirable but not required. Students will be encouraged to develop a weekly data collection schedule that is consistent for the fall and spring semesters. Students can attend as many visits as they would like/their schedule will allow, but a minimum weekly commitment of 5 hours is required. Data collection will occur in the morning (5:00 – 11:00 AM) and evening (3:00 – 9:00 PM) and may also occur on weekends. Looking for multiple positions to fill (3-5 positions). Priority will be given to research assistants that are available to cover the morning data collection visits.

Special Skills
CPR/AED/First Aid certification is preferred.
