Job Description: Undergraduate Research Assistant Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented undergraduate research assistant with experiences in data collection and literature review. The successful candidate will join our research team and contribute to a research project regarding “Asian Americans and Health Care Services in Alabama.” This is a dynamic and hands-on role that offers the opportunity to gain practical experience in research and opportunity to write academic manuscripts. The successful candidate will work closely with the research team to ensure high-quality data collection and maintain project timelines. Required Qualifications • Undergraduate student in a relevant field such as social sciences, public health, social work, psychology, health sciences, nursing, or a related discipline. • Proficiency in academic written and spoken English (Korean proficiency is preferred but not obligatory). • Familiarity with creating surveys using Qualtrics. • Proactive attitude and motivation to manage research project. • High interest in Asian Americans’ quality of life in Alabama. Job Type and Compensation • Part-time: 5 hours/week for 1.5 years, starting in October 2023. • Compensation: Hourly rate $15/hour (no tuition/health benefits). Responsibilities • Reviewing qualitative data with interview recording • Develop survey using Qualtrics by working with research team • Advertise recruitment flyer at social media • Delivering e-gift cards to the participants via email. • Conduct literature review and writing research reports and manuscripts • Attend biweekly meetings Collaboration and Communication • Working closely with the research team to contribute to project meetings and provide regular progress updates and meeting minutes. • Scheduling regular research team meetings.
